On June 24, 1794 Bowdoin College was chartered by an act of the Massachusetts State Legislature. This summer, we celebrate the 225th anniversary of its founding by examining archival material that tells the story of the College’s early years and its growth and development as an institute for higher education.
Bowdoin @ 225 is on view mid-June through early-August 2019 in the second floor gallery of the Hawthorne-Longfellow Library at Bowdoin College and is open to the Bowdoin community and general public during Library hours.
Curated by archivist Caroline Moseley and education and outreach librarian Marieke Van Der Steenhoven.
