In this portrait, members of the Medical School’s fraternity Maine Kappa Sigs gather around a skeleton dubbed, “their first patient.” The students pictured are Ralph Harrison Clark (1897-1963), Bowdoin Class of 1897 who attended the Medical School from 1897 to 1898, but ultimately graduated from Louisville Medical College in Kentucky; Wallace Wadsworth Dyson (1871-1931), Medical School Class of 1900; Eugene Miller McCarty (1874-1957), Medical School Class of 1900; Harry E. Gribbon (1875-1918), Bowdoin Class of 1897 and Medical School Class of 1900; and Erwin L. Soule (1876-1902), also Medical School Class of 1900.
