This thesis by Andy Carmone ’93 was one of the first Women’s studies honors projects after the program commenced in 1992. In 2005, the Women’s Studies department changed its name to Gender and Women’s Studies, and in 2015, the program merged with the Gay and Lesbian Studies program to become Sexuality, Women, and Gender Studies.
